I’ve been trying to perfect a spicy and sweet chicken that wasn’t overly sweet. I finally accomplished it by using Smoked Paprika. I’m on a Smoked Paprika fix right now 🙂
Ingredients:
- 2 or 3 chicken cutlets (pounded chicken breasts)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp fresh cracked pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to your level of spicyness)
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
Directions:
Mix spices together in a small bowl and set aside.
Mix honey and cider vinegar in a small bowl or measuring cup and set aside.
Lay chicken cutlets flat on a cutting board. Cover both sides in seasoning.
Heat a large skillet on medium high heat and add about a tablespoon of olive oil.
Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. Brush the honey mixture on top of chicken and cook for an additional minute.
I served this with some roasted green beans.
